A pub tour for anyone who is Young's at heart!

IF YOU have ever wondered about how beer is brewed and want to find out at first hand then Young and Co's Brewery has the answer. For a little outlay, the whole mystery is unfolded most days of the week.

Young's Brewery, in Wandsworth High Street, have organised tours of the brewery on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at noon and 2pm.

The tours last approximately one and a half hours and the tour guides can take a maximum of 20 people per tour.

Family tours of the stables last approximately 45 minutes.

Booking is essential.

The Ram Brewery Tour (including the stables) includes a free pint or bottle of any of Young's products and costs £5.50 (adults); £4.50 for pensioners and students over 18; and £3 (children 14-17 yrs - must be accompanied by an adult).

Family tour of the stables cost £9 Family Ticket (2 adults, 2 children); £3.50 (adults); £2 (children 5 - 17yrs). Children under 5 free.

The Brewery Tap Visitor Centre and Souvenir Shop is open Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm and Saturdays noon to 5pm (excluding Bank Holidays).

You may also hire the pub for a private evening function, or book catering and conference facilities. For these there is an information pack.

The tours begin in the saloon bar with an instructional entertaining video before the guide takes the party on the tour, ending with the spending of the free vouchers at the bar. Lunches for tour parties may be booked in advance.

After the tour you are welcome to remain in the saloon until closing time (5pm) browsing in the souvenir shop or enjoying the beers you have just seen being brewed.
