Story by: Jack Foley
LEON star, Jean Reno, has landed a prominent role in The Da Vinci
Code, alongside Tom Hanks.
The French actor appears to have been perfectly cast as ruthless
police detective, Bezu Fache, who determines to pin a murder on
Hanks' scholarly investigator, Robert Langdon, to set things in
motion.
Reno's presence serves to make Ron Howard's film an even more
mouth-watering possibility, given the actor's laidback flare for
delivering cool characters.

Although another of the book's pivotal
roles - that of female cryptologist, Sophie Neveu - has yet to
be cast.
The book, by Dan Brown, follows Harvard symbologist and conspiracy
unraveller, Professor Robert Langdon, as he is called to the scene
of a brutal murder at the Louvre, in Paris.
The victim is a curator, yet his death begins an investigation
into one of the most intriguing mysteries of all-time, in the
form of the legend of the Holy Grail and the true history of Jesus
Christ.
The Da Vinci Code represents Brown's follow-up to Langdon's first
novel, Angels & Demons, which also became a best-seller -
helping the author to become one of Hollywood's hottest properties.
The film is being prepared in time for a possible 2006 release.
