007 IS the past master of Bonding with women, if his exploits with the likes
of Ursula Andress, Sophie Marceau and Caroline Bouquet are anything to go
But up until now, cinemas most famous spy has been a little coy about showing too much in the bedroom. Well, things are about to change, according to Die Another Day director, Lee Tamahori, who has promised to deliver the best lay of 007s life.
Speaking in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the director has promised to spice things up for the latest Bond adventure, and has apparently shot a very hot love scene between Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry that is guaranteed to leave audiences shaken and stirred!
Whether the sequence gets past the British censors intact, however, remains to be seen; as the BBFC has tended to be notoriously strict with Bonds activities in order to maintain its PG requirements - Timothy Daltons Licence to Kill was slapped with a 15 for its on-screen violence and subsequently suffered at the Box Office, while Brosnan and Marceaus bedroom liaison was repeatedly re-shot to avoid capturing a dreaded nipple on film.
Tamahori is aware of this, of course, but remains optimistic of the scenes chances, explaining: "Bond's PG requirements have traditionally meant you can only show post-coital sex. You know, clothes strewn around the room, the camera slowly pans over to the bed.
"But we thought `why couldn't Bond have the best lay of his life?' So
we shot a very hot love scene."
Audiences will be able to find out whether James get his wicked way when the movie opens in November, following its world premiere in the presence of HM The Queen, at Londons Royal Albert Hall, on November 18.
The stars themselves will have had no problem with shedding their clothes, however, given that both Brosnan and Berry have done it in the past.
bared almost all for some hot sex with Rene Russo in John McTiernans
remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, while Berry seems to be having trouble
keeping her clothes on, of late.
The actress became the highest paid woman ever to go topless in Swordfish, before getting them out again for an Oscar-winning performance in Monsters Ball. Now she could have the dubious distinction of being the first Bond babe to bare all for Queen and country.
