Flags of Our Fathers is being produced
by Steven Spielberg and directed by Eastwood and will begin shooting
in August.
The film is based on the book of the same name by James Bradley,
who discovered after his father's death, in 1994, that his father
had been one of the men who raised the American flag at the battle
of Iwo-Jima.
The book has been adapted for the big screen by Paul Haggis,
who worked with Eastwood on his Ocar-winner, Million
Dollar Baby, and who wrote and directed Crash.
