THERE'S no stopping the George Clooney/Steven Soderbergh partnership,
it would seem.
Having appeared as actor/director in numerous films already (as
well as creating their own production company in the form of Section
8), the coolest film-makers in Hollywood have re-teamed for a
romantic World War Two thriller.
What's more, it co-stars Cate Blanchett and Tobey Maguire - so
expect a very classy offering indeed!

The film in question is The Good
German, a romantic thriller based on the novel by Joseph Kanon,
which has been adapted for the big screen by Paul Attanasio.
Clooney is set to play an American journalist who is sent to
Berlin after World War Two ends in order to cover an Allied conference
that will decide the future of Germany.
While there, he searches for a lost love, only to find himself
in the middle of a murder investigation!
The advance word suggests a big helping of passion, intrigue
and action as Clooney revisits the romantic genre once again.
According to a report on Empire Online, The Good German is set
to begin shooting after Clooney finishes his sophomore directorial
effort, Goodnight, And Good Luck.
Soderbergh, meanwhile, is also busy finishing off Bubble, one
of his indie projects.
The two have one more film already completed for release later
this year, however - Syriana (co-starring Matt Damon), a political
thriller.
