HOLLYWOOD action man, Vin Diesel, looks set to return to the
tough-guy roles that first made him famous by appearing in the
big-screen adaptation of yet another popular video game.
The xXx/Pacifier star will serve as both star and executive producer
of Hitman, which will see him taking on the role of Agent 47 (much
beloved by gaming fans).

The character is described as a famed
assassin, in the Jason Bourne mould, who has very few memories
and shows little remorse when carrying out work for a shadowy
organisation.
The game series is said to be extremely violent and no-nonsense
in its approach, so it is to be hoped that Diesel adopts the same
approach to the movie.
Announcing the venture in Hollywood Reporter, Adrian Askarieh,
another of the producers, said: "Hitman is a project that
by the virtue of its DNA can and will reach far beyond its already
substantial core audience.
"The canvas on which this adventure takes place is something
that movie audiences have embraced for the last 40 years. We obviously
are delighted to have Vin Diesel on board, too - he and Agent
47 are a match made in heaven."
