Q. Some of the critics have actually had the cheek to say
that the film already looks dated. Whats your response to
that?
A. I haven't read those reviews. I guess when you're coming
with this kind of force, it's kind of logical to expect a kind
of deflation quotient in the media. The movie is spectacular,
it's an incredible ride and the story really is the key, so I
really can't respond to that.
Jada Pinkett-Smith: I'd like to add to that... This is
a continuation of the first film, there really is no comparison.
With the second and the third film, we are actually seeing the
original thought completed. And I think that is really important
to remember.

Q. Are you concerned that the sequel might not live up to
its hype?
A. We just knew that we had done something that people were
very excited about and wanted to continue that aesthetic. We also
felt at the beginning that the people who were copying and replicating
the things that we did were cute for a while, but then it got
to the point where it was impossible for us to see any action
movie that didn't have some element taken from The Matrix. It
was almost too recurrent. So we decided that with these two movies,
we would raise the bar as far as we could so that it wouldn't
be possible for people to just jump on board.
