National Maritime Museum plays host to Dunkirk installation marking 1940 evacuation

An installation to mark the anniversary of the 1940 Dunkirk evacuation is currently on display at The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. The installation was commissioned by the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships and Warner Bros. Pictures, which is releasing Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk this summer.

Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
