The Best of Cafe Del Mar

Review: Heather Metherell

IT IS perhaps a little hard to imagine relaxing on an idyllic beach and watching the sun slowly setting when you’ve spent the past hour or so tackling the rush hour Tube.

But if it’s escapism you’re after, then you could do worse than to turn your phone off, run yourself a bath and listen to the new best of Café Del Mar compilation.

Mixed by José Padilla, a long-standing resident of the club, the two CD compilation includes hand picked favourites from the best chill out artists around, including Lamb, Ben Onono Moby.

Also worth looking out for is an intelligent remix of Coldplay's God Put a Smile On Your Face.

You can sample the album on an exclusive e-card which incorporates audio clips, a competition and general release details (see link opposite).
