THE Charlatans have released details of their next album, Up
At The Lake, which is to be backed by a full UK tour.
The announcement, made on the band's website, will come as good
news for fans, who have been pining for new material for some
time.
The long-player will be preceded by a new single in April, while
the album will be mastered next week, with a view to hitting the
shops in May.
It will contain 12 tracks and was recorded extensively at The
Charlatans own Big Mushroom Studios, in Cheshire, with extra
vocal sessions in Los Angeles.

Mixing duties went to Coldplay collaborator, Ken Nelson, as well
as The Chemical Brothers, but the album was prodiced by The Charlatans,
themselves, and Jim Spencer.
Having previously confirmed that they will appear at the Isle
Of Wight Festival, on June 13, the band has also announced a full
UK tour, starting in May.
