Story: Jack Foley
DEPECHE Mode are to play three huge concerts in the UK next spring
(2006) as part of a huge world tour.
The tour will help to support the release of their new, as-yet-untitled
album, which will be the first from the band since 2001's Exciter.
So far, dates have been announced across Europe, with the UK
leg comprising nights at London's Wembley Arena on April 3, 2006,
the Manchester Evening News Arena, on March 30, and the Birmingham
NEC, on March 31.
Tickets are due to go on sale to the general public on June 24,
although fan club members can already purchase them now.
The world tour kicks off in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in October
this year and will include 22 dates across North America running
through to December.
The band will then head to Europe on January 13 for a show in
Germany, before heading to the Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland,
France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Russia, Poland, Estonia,
Lithuania, Lativa, Solvenia and Holland.
Depeche Mode have been working hard on their new album in a Santa
Barbara studio with producer, Ben Hillier.
It is sure to rate among the most eagerly-anticipated albums
of the coming months.
