Story: Jack Foley
DJ SHADOW is to release a new live album and DVD documenting
his concert at London's Brixton Academy in 2002.
The album and DVD is to be called In Tune and On Time and
will be released on June 15, on Geffen, in the US, with
a UK release expected simultaneously on Universal Records.
The DVD includes exclusive footage, as well as his now legendary
'sampler battle' with Jurassic 5, while the album will comprise
20 tracks, including the infamous Richard Ashcroft/James Lavelle/U.N.K.L.E.
collaboration, Lonely Soul, as well as Drums of Death.

All were recorded from Shadow’s
2002 concert, in Brixton, as part of his Private Press
album tour.
In addition, the DVD will include an interview with the legendary
DJ, an on-tour documentary, four extra tracks, including the singles
You Can't Go Home Again and 6 Days.
There will also be footage of the sampler battle between Shadow,
Cut Chemist and Jurassic 5's DJ Nu-Mark, which was recorded at
the Mayan Theatre, in LA.
For absolute Shadow purists, a new limited edition release, featuring
DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, called Product Placement,
is also being released.
The CD, DVD and 12-inch vinyl features clips from the duo’s
current US tour and commentary from both artists.
The clips are said to be taken from obscure TV and radio commercials
and blend samples from the likes of Led Zeppelin covers, to obscure
‘60s rare groove releases and Sesame Street.
