Story: Jack Foley
WIDELY-renowned for their technological prowess and creativity
in terms of their music, Ladytron have now turned their talents
to their website, launching a re-vamped site at www.ladytron.com
to coincide with the release of new single, Evil, on June
30.
Along with a host of exciting new features, visitors to the site
can now hear all available mixes of Evil - featuring the
talents of Tony Senghore, Ewan Pearson and M-Factor - along with
the opportunity to download, for FREE, an exclusive Interpol
re-mix of the bands last single, Blue Jeans (available
from www.ladytron.com from June 30).
Wiith vocalist, Helen Marnie, 'grabbing the mic like the baddest
bitch from St Trinians', according to NME, Evil has proved a highlight
of Ladytrons live set throughout their sell out tours of
the UK and US and, most recently, Germany.

Also included on the single by popular demand is Ladytrons
raucous rendition of Tweets Oops (Oh My..), the regular
closer to their set.
The band beefed up their live sound last year with the addition
of a drummer and bass player, and fans in the UK will have another
chance to see the band lift the roof off at venues around the
UK in the autumn, a tour which will include a date at Londons
Astoria, Ladytrons biggest London show to date.
Its been a phenomenal nine months for the UKs finest
exponents of electro-pop.
Kicking off with the release of their single, Seventeen,
last autumn, theyve sold out tours in the UK, US and Europe,
and are now firmly established as a formidable force in the UK
music scene.
In the lead up to their UK autumn tour, Ladytron will spend the
summer months playing at some of Europes leading festivals,
including Benicassim, the Reading/Leeds Carling Weekender, as
well as DJ dates for Reuben, Danny and Mira in such sunny climes
as Ibiza and Australia.
