NICKELBACK release the first single, Someday, from their
new album, The Long Road, through Roadrunner Records, on
The Long Road, the follow-up to the triple-platinum album,
Silver Side Up (5 x platinum in the US) hits stores on
The video for Someday was recently shot in Vancouver by
video director, Nigel Dick.
Coming together in Hanna, Alberta, Canada, Chad Kroeger (lead
vocals and guitars), Ryan Peake (guitars and vocals), and Mike
Kroeger (bass) joined forces to form Nickelback.
Rounding out the line up is Ryan Vikedal (drums), whom the band
met after deciding to move out to Vancouver, Canada. The band
gained international attention when they released their debut
album, The State, in 2000.
Since the release of Silver Side Up in 2001, the band
was nominated for four Grammy Awards, nabbed four Billboard Awards
and was awarded a Juno Award (Canadian Grammys) for 'Songwriters
Of The Year', for their songs, How You Remind Me and Too
Following the release of The Long Road, Nickelback will
be embarking on a major US tour this Autumn and anticipate UK
dates before the year is out.
The band's live show is, according to their PR, 'a sound explosion
accompanied with eye-popping production'.
