Stereophonics tour news and album success

Story: Jack Foley

YOU'VE Gotta Go There To Come Back, Stereophonics’ fourth album, is well on course to become one of the biggest selling albums of the year so far.

Having sold over 100,000 in the
first week, giving it the most week one sales since Coldplay’s A Rush Of Blood To The Head, the album has now shipped enough copies to go platinum.

Produced for the first time by Kelly Jones, the album was recorded last year after having been written on the road over the course of 2001 and early 2002.

Stereophonics will be touring in November and December, their first UK Arena tour since 2001.

Rapidly selling out after the tickets went on sale, several extra dates have been added due to demand. Tickets for their recent ‘Secret Gig’ tour sold out in under two hours and created a veritable fan frenzy.
