THIRTY two Djs, including Radio 1's Rob da Bank, Lemon Jelly's
Fred Deakin and Ninja Tunes' Bonobo are to line up for two special
nights of fundraising at Jack's, in Shand Street, SE1, on Friday
and Saturday, February 4 and 5.
The all-nighters, which take place from 10pm until 6am, have
been organised by Furthu, with all money raised going to Oxfam
towards their tsunami relief work in Asia.
The nights boast something for everyone, from the underground
electronic beats of several of Warp and Rephlex records biggets
names to the good time leftfield party sounds of Ninja Tune, Lemon
Jelly's Fred Deakin and Radio One DJ Rob da Bank.
With two rooms running each night, (very very roughly split into
breaks & beats/hip-hop/party tunes in room 1 and electro /techno/electro-house
in room 2) and 32 top name DJs doing their bit, this is the sort
of party that only comes around once in a very long while.
Several names have still to be added to the published line-up,
while several cannot be mentioned due to contractual reasons.
Add to the musical shenanigans there will be top prize raffles
and other events during the night designed to part the punters
with their hard-earned cash.
EVERY PENNY MADE FROM THIS PARTY GOES TO OXFAM.
And everyone involved from the DJs to the bar staff have provided
their services freely.
