Story by Jack Foley
FORMER X-Files star, Gillian Anderson, is returning to the West
End in March, to appear in the first-run of The Sweetest Thing
in Baseball, at the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs.
The popular television star, dubbed as the thinking mans
totty after she appeared in lacy black underwear on the
cover of FHM, appeared before the capitals theatre-goers
last year, to great acclaim, in What The Night Is For.

The production will tell the story of a burnt-out artist, who
ends up in a mental institution, when her latest exhibition flops.
Having been hailed as the next great thing, the disappointment
becomes too much and the resulting breakdown forces her to seek
psychiatric help.
However, her insurance is only willing to shell out for ten days'
care, so she draws upon the American baseball icon, Darryl Strawberry,
to see her through.
Tickets go on sale from January 26, and the play, which opens
on March 31, is only showing until May 1.
