SHAKESPEARES Globe Theatre Company has teamed up with
Historic Royal Palaces to stage a unique event at Hampton Court
Palace in July 2004.
Three plays from this years Season at the Globe will be
performed in the Great Hall at the palace, over a three-week period,
beginning on July 6, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeares
performance at the palace.
During 1603 and 1604, Sir William Shakspeare performed seven
plays for King James I and his family, and, to commemorate this,
Shakespeares Globe will be performing three of his greatest
works - Romeo & Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing and Measure
For Measure.
