FROM the same team that presented Grimms: Horla present GRIMMS
II, from November 25.
It is another feast of folk and fairy tales from around the world and
the whole has been adapted and directed by Alistair Green.
Following on from the hugely successful GRIMMS, performed at The Rose
& Crown at Christmas 2000, the theatre will once again be transformed
into a magical forest where you will find all manner of strange characters
and objects that have a story to tell.
Discover the Cave of Wisdom and Magic where fables, such as the Russian classic
'The Baba Yaga', live. Due to the unfortunate death of the dwarfs, comes Horla's
own 'Snow White & The Seven Puppets'.
Also included are: a horror story from France about dead loved ones, a tale
about a mysterious Monkey's Paw and its magical powers as well as stories
of trickery, secrecy and singing pots.
A cast of 10 will employ tricks and spells such as mime, dance, live music
and puppetry, thus enchanting their audience with a rainbow of stories from
around the world! N.B. Some of the stories are for adults and brave children.
Grimms II compiled by Horla, Directed by Alistair Green. Design by Tracy Waller
& Alex Agg, Lighting by Ben Pickersgill. WITH: Kate Lush, Andrew Jones,

l Horla will be finishing their three-year
residency at The Rose and Crown Theatre with GRIMMS II, this November.
Since it took over The Rose and Crown in 2000, the company has produced 12
shows, including such favourites as 'The Just Desserts New Writing Festival',
'GRIMMS', 'The Jests Of Skoggan', 'Hamlet' and, most
recently, 'Sleepless Nights' - all
to critical acclaim.
As
well as the work at the Rose and Crown, Horla successes include co-produced
Steven Berkoff's 'Kvetch' at The BAC in the summer of 2000 and 'The
Horla' at the Lion and Unicorn earlier this year, as part of The Roar
02 festival.
As well as focusing on their own work, the company helped to spring board
new writing and acting talent, including other companies, such as CoTA whose
production of 'Me & Billy Joe McAllister' transferred to the BAC
earlier this year.
The main theatre company in the Kingston-upon-Thames area, Horla's contribution
to the local community is significant and demonstrated by the unfailing support
and praise of the audiences.
