Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber to world premiere new song at Janie Dee Cabaret

Preview by Jack Foley

SIR Andrew Lloyd Webber is to personally give the world premiere performance of a new song next week in London.

Sir Andrew will accompany award-winning star, Janie Dee, on the piano on the opening night of her new cabaret show at the Shaw Theatre on Wednesday, May 4, 2005.

The song, All The Love I Have, was originally written for his West End football musical, The Beautiful Game, but Ben Elton has written new lyrics and Sir Andrew has re-orchestrated the number.

"It's just so beautiful, I literally swooned when he played it for me this week," said Janie. "To have Andrew play for me on my opening night is going to make it an unforgettable experience."

Multi award-winning Janie, who appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS, is acknowledged as one of Britain's most talented and versatile West End actresses and singers.

She last appeared in cabaret in a sold out season at Pizza on the Park in 2004 and to great acclaim as part of the 2002 'Divas at the Donmar' season.

In 1993, Janie was awarded the Best Actress Olivier Award for Carousel at the Royal National Theatre.

In 2000, Janie appeared in the lead role in Comic Potential and went on to play the role on Broadway and was rewarded with a total of six prestigious drama awards in London and New York.

Her other West End successes include the Gershwin musical, My One and Only and Glory Of Gershwin.

Her Shaw season is her first stage appearance following the birth of her second child.
