A NEW production of Sophocles' Oedipus runs
from November 2 to November 12, 2005, at the Barons Court Theatre
in Comeragh Road, Fulham, W14 9RH.
The Land of Thebes is dying. In order to restore balance King
Oedipus is forced to unmask a killer, but his zealous search uncovers
a more terrifying secret.

Sophocles' play is a mixture of classical
tragedy, whodunnit and political thriller, highlighting the pitfalls
of leadership and man's powerlessness at the hands of fickle gods.
The cast features Kester Hynds (as Oedipus), Francis Moore, Hannah
Richards, Alexander Gordon Wood, Maeve Whelan, Andy Hamilton and
Allon Sylvain.
Oedipus is produced by Chelsea Players, a London-based
theatre company staging new writing, drama and comedy both in
London and at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Recent shows include the world premiere of Lindy Henny's drama
The Empty Chair; the European premiere of the Australian
black comedy Milo's Wake by Margery and Michael Forde;
and Phil Young's award-winning devised piece Crystal Clear.
