MAKING his first London appearance since the Royal Variety Performance in December 1998, and for one week only, top funny man Phil Cool will be appearing at the Cochrane Theatre starting November 18. Performances are at 7.30pm.
With a unique mixture of surreal impressions and a bizarre sense of the ridiculous,
Phil Cool is Britain's weirdest comedian.
Unquestionably, the world's only 'Stand-up Chameleon', Phil Cool comes armed
with a controllable rubber face, and he is not afraid to use it! Phil's body,
too, seems to be defying the normal anatomical laws. Equipped with this unique
weaponry, he can be anything or anyone he wants to be, instantaneously, from
international celebrity to intergalactic alien.
He can be shocking, funny, or shockingly funny, his dextrous impressions and
sketches take us into a world where anything seems possible and the absurd
seems credible. Phil, however, is incredible and without doubt is one of the
most original comic talents to come out of the UK.
His rubber face can metamorphose with ease from the Pope to Sylvester Stallone,
Tina Turner to Forrest Gump and from Jack Nicholson, Bugs Bunny, David Attenborough,
a sea horse, Star Trek, Mr Bean, even Pulp Fiction. Nothing escapes the Cool
treatment.
With five top selling videos, four TV Specials, three hit series for the BBC and two acclaimed series for independent Television, Phil has one dream - to play Jim Carrey's dad in a Hollywood blockbuster.
Phil Cool, Cochrane Theatre, Southampton Row, London WC1. Monday November 18 to Saturday November 23 at 7.30pm. Tickets 020 7269 1600.
