A NEW show for children of all ages based on a story by Tall
Stories founder Toby Mitchell, The Snow Dragon
will run from December 8, 2005 to January 8, 2006 at London's
Soho Theatre.
Tall Stories was, of course, responsible for that other hugely
popular children's show, The
Gruffalo which will be playing at Hamstead Theatre from
December 20, 2005.

The Snow Dragon however,
is the story of Billy, a young and slightly spoilt goat. On Christmas
Eve, his parents tell him about the legendary Snow Dragon who
brings gifts to all the little goats in return for the berries
they collect for him.
But Billy is lazy and soon decides that 'borrowing' berries from
his industrious friends would be infinitely better than actually
picking them himself. Not surprisingly, Christmas Eve isn't quite
what Billy expects.
Tall Stories was founded by Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell who
met while working for Soho Theatre in 1996. Since then, the company
has staged 15 plays across the UK, Ireland, Poland and Canada.
Besides The Gruffalo, they include Snow White,
Rumplestiltskin and The Owl and the Pussycat. Their
newest production, The Gruffalo's Child, will premiere
at Wimbledon's Polka Theatre at the end of November.
