FROM December 7, 2005 until January 8, 2006, the Peacock Theatre
in Portugal Street will, for the eighth year in a row, stage Raymond
Briggs' delightful Christmas story, The Snowman.

As familiar now as other Christmas
classics, such as Peter Pan and A Christmas Carol,
Briggs' tale begins when a young boy's snowman comes to life on
the most magical night of the year - Christmas Eve.
The two set off on a night-time adventure like no other, meeting
along the way, reindeer, dancing penguins and the Snowman's many
friends.
But like all good stories, there's a baddie - the evil Jack Frost,
from whom the intrepid pair must escape before returning home
in time for Christmas morning.
With music that includes Walking in the Air, a Snowman
that literally flies and snow falling all around, The Snowman
promises to be a real Christmas treat.
