Still Stomping its way through the West End!

Preview by Paul Nelson

THE celebrated British theatrical sensation, Stomp, continues to play at the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End to considerable acclaim.

This award-winning, energetic and imaginative show has previously played at the Round House and Sadler's Wells and has toured throughout the UK. The Vaudeville Theatre marks its first foray into the West End.

Originally created in Brighton in 1991, Stomp is a unique combination or percussion, movement, and visual comedy. Since its inception, the production has toured to 39 countries as diverse as Russia, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Germany and Taiwan and has become an international stage phenomenon.

Over 10 million people have seen the show and it remains a spectacular success throughout the world.

Stomp is currently in its ninth consecutive year at the Orpheum Theatre, Off Broadway, and in May of 2002 celebrated two years of continuous performances in San Francisco. Stomp is also the longest sell-out run of any foreign production in Paris.

Stomp finds beauty and music in the mundane - from boots and bins to zippo lighters and plumbers' plungers, everything including the kitchen sink becomes part of this amazing production as a cast of eight performers make instruments out of brooms and turn hand-clapping into conversation.

With unstoppable energy and toe-tapping exuberance, Stomp takes the clutter and junk of everyday life and transforms it into a pulsating, witty, utterly irresistible theatrical event.
