A NEW play by Robin Soans, Talking To Terrorists
is playing at the Royal Court Theatre until July 30, 2005.
For his latest offering and to find out what makes ordinary people
do extreme things, Soans, along with director Max Stafford-Clark
and members of the cast, talked to peacemakers, journalists
and even hostages, about their experiences with terrorists.
And Talking To Terrorists is their story.

Soan's previous work includes A
State Affair and The Arab-Israeli Cookbook which
can currently be seen at north London's Tricycle Theatre until
July 30, 2005.
For this, Soans used a similar technique, talking to 42 ordinary
Israelis and Palestinians about life in a land of walls, checkpoints
and suicide bombing - all while they were cooking.
Out of Joint, the co-presenters of Talking To Terrorists,
has recently produced Macbeth and The Permanent
Way by David Hare.
Cast members are Chipo Chung, Christopher Ettridge, Alexander
Hanson, Lloyd Hutchinson, Catherine Russell, Christopher Ryman
and June Watson.
