AMERICAN Pie sweetheart and former Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
TV star, Alyson Hannigan, has confirmed that she is to play opposite
Luke Perry in the stage version of Nora Ephron's When Harry Met
Sally, which opens at the Haymarket Theatre on February 20, following
previews from February 11.
The show, which is booking until May 29, has been adapted for
the stage by Marcy Kahan, with music by Jamie Cullum and Ben Cullum,
and produced by James Tod.
It is directed by Loveday Ingram and designed by Ultz.

The 29-year-old Hannigan, who will play Sally, has confessed
to being both 'very excited and terrified' at the prospect of
appearing on the West End stage for the first time, especially
given that the infamous restaurant orgasm scene will be included.
"I haven't done theatre since High School, so I have a lot
to learn," she admitted, before adding that it has always
been a dream to come to London and do theatre.
But commenting more specifically on the orgasm scene, she said
that nerves would play a part, as 'it's not every day you do that
in front of 800 people'.
We're quietly confident, however, that the 'one time, at band
camp' star will pull the necessary oomph out of the bag and will
be reviewing it shortly after it opens.
Former Beverley Hills 90210 star, Perry, will also be making
his theatre debut in the production, which is expected to be one
of the hottest tickets of the year.
