Divine Humanity - New Players Theatre
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
A DRAMATISATION of William Blake’s life and work, Divine Humanity, receives its world premiere at the New Players Theatre – from November 22 (previews from November 20) to December 2, 2007.
The play is a theatrical journey through Blake’s prophetic books and sets the story of Jerusalem against the background of his masterly engravings from The Book of Job. The whole is interspersed with key moments in Blake’s life and incorporates original music and contemporary dance.
It will be the first time that the books Jerusalem, Milton and Vala have been performed live on stage.
