Love Me Tender - Mica Paris stars as Sylvia

MICA Paris will play Sylvia, the straight-talkin’ owner of a local dive bar, in Love Me Tender which visits New Wimbledon Theatre (June 22 to June 27, 2015) as part of a UK tour.

Mica Paris is one of the UK’s most respected female singers with a career that includes Top 10 hit singles and albums worldwide. But it was in 1998 that she released her debut, platinum-selling album, So Good from which she had her first top ten hit, My One Temptation.

As well as worldwide hit albums and singles that include Black Angel, Stay and Carefree, she has collaborated with respected artists such as David Gilmour, Prince and Jools Holland.

She has also appeared on the West End stage in Mama I Want To Sing, The Vagina Monologues and Sweet Lorraine.

Further casting for Love Me Tender has still to be announced.

Love Me Tender by Joe DiPietro, the writer of the award-winning West End and Broadway hit Memphis, is described as a funny and moving tale of hope, second chances and the healing qualities of Rock ’n’ Roll.

Directed by Karen Bruce (Dance ‘Til Dawn, Saturday Night Fever), Love Me Tender has set design by Morgan Large, lighting by James Whiteside, and costume design by Vicky Gill. Casting has still to be announced.

Retitled for its UK premiere, Love Me Tender premiered on Broadway as All Shook Up.
