Mamma Mia! extends until October 2016

THE hit musical Mamma Mia!, which premiered in the West End in April 1999, has extended its booking period at the Novello Theatre until October 22, 2016.
Previously Posted: Cast changes have been announced for Mamma Mia!, which is currently booking at the Novello Theatre until April 23, 2016.
On June 8, 2015, Mazz Murray (We Will Rock You) will take over the role of Tanya, alongside Jo Napthine as Rosie, Gabriella Williams as Sophie Sheridan and James Darch as Sky.
Also joining the cast are Louise Young (Ali), Stephanie Fearon (Lisa), Dan Partridge (Pepper) and Rory Phelan (Eddie).
Dianne Pilkington continues in the role of Donna Sheridan, with Richard Trinder as Sam, Alasdair Harvey as Harry and Charles Daish as Bill. At certain performances, the role of Donna Sheridan will be played by Shona White.
Mamma Mia! is set on a Greek island where Sophie is preparing for her wedding day. Among the guests are three of her mother’s former lovers – there because Sophie is attempting to discover the identity of her father. Also present for the festivities are Sophie’s mother Donna, and her former band members.
The show, which is interspersed with ABBA disco classics such as Thank You For the Music, Dancing Queen, Take A Chance On Me, Super Trouper, Honey, Honey, plus the title song, opened at the Prince Edward Theatre in April 1999 before transferring to the Prince of Wales Theatre in June 2004. It moved to its current home in September 2012.
