Miniaturists 53 - Arcola Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

MINIATURISTS 53, London’s premier short-play night, returns with a line-up of new work from emerging and established writers – at the Arcola Theatre on Sunday, September 27, 2015.

For the fifty-third show, the writers are: Vinay Patel (True Brits, Assembly with HighTide Festival Theatre), Joe Harbot (The Boy on the Swing, Arcola Theatre), Catherine Harvey (Infinite Riches, Old Red Lion Theatre), Stewart Pringle (You Look Tasty!, Pleasance Theatre) and Will Bourdillon (Upon This Earth, Arcola Theatre).

Since its inception, the night has become an established part of London’s theatre landscape, staging work by such established writers as Stephen Jeffreys, David Eldridge and Steve Waters as well as emerging talent including Phoebe Éclair-Powell, Eve Leigh and Miran Hadzic.

The Miniaturists was founded in 2005 by writer Stephen Sharkey as a platform for writers, directors and performers to explore ideas through staging work with quick turnaround and high production values. Staged every couple of months, each night sees five writers presenting a new piece of work in Arcola Theatre’s main space.

The Miniaturists is curated and produced by Will Bourdillon and Declan Feenan.
