Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
THIS Christmas, Chickenshed is presenting Snow White at Chickenshed Theatre, Chase Side – from Wednesday, November 27, 2019 to Saturday, January 11, 2020.
A magical new musical version of a familiar tale, this mammoth production is guaranteed to fill the festive period with heart-warming cheer.
Set in a colourful 1960s world where traditional roles are changing fast, what better place for a modern Snow White to ‘find’ herself – in all senses of the word?
Chickenshed’s production of Snow White has an unbelievably huge cast of all ages, a stunning original score and an upbeat message – how anyone can get to choose the ending of their own story.
The cast includes Cara McInanny (as Snow White), Jonny Morton (Father), Gemilla Shamruk (Stepmother Jane de Villiers), Nathaniel Leigertwood (Jason – Security Guard), Will Laurence (Bobby the Buster), Sarah Jones (Downer) and Ashley Driver (Mirror).
The production is directed by Lou Stein and has choreography by Belinda McGuirk and Dina Williams, music by Dave Carey, vocal delivery by Fiona Carey and wardrobe by Emma Gale. Assistant director is Belinda McGuirk and production manager is Zeeta Jacobs.
