The Go-Between - full casting announced

FULL casting has been announced for the musical adaptation of L P Hartley’s classic novel The Go-Between, which runs at the Apollo Theatre from June 7 (previews from May 27) to October 15, 2016.

Joining the previously announced Michael Crawford as Leo Colston will be Issy Van Randwyck. Renowned for her starring role in the celebrated cabaret group Fascinating Aida, she will play the role of Mrs Maudsley.

The iconic roles of Ted and Marian, the lovers who embark on a forbidden affair and for whom Leo acts as the go-between, will be taken by Stuart Ward, who played the lead ‘Guy’ in Once in both the UK and USA, and Gemma Sutton, who most recently starred in the hugely-acclaimed production of Gypsy in the West End.

The young Leo Colston will be played in alternation by Luka Green, William Thompson and Johnny Evans Hutchison.

Completing the cast will be Julian Forsyth (Mr Maudsley/1st Cover Colston), Stephen Carlile (Trimingham), Silas Wyatt-Barke (Denys), Jenni Bowden (Stanton/Leo’s Mother/Eulalie), John Addison (Henry With 1st Cover Ted/2nd Cover Denys/2nd Cover Trimingham), Archie Stevens (Marcus 1), Matty Norgren (Marcus 2) and Samuel Menhinick (Marcus 3).

Understudies will be Jane Quinn (Understudy With 1st Cover Mrs Maudsley/1st Cover Leo’s Mother/2nd Cover Marian), Jessica Duncan (Understudy With 1st Cover Marian/2nd Cover Leo’s Mother), Robert Traynor (Understudy With 1st Cover Mr Maudsley/2nd Cover Colston) and Michael Colbourne (Understudy With 1st Cover Denys/1st Cover Trimingham/2nd Cover Ted).

With music and lyrics by Richard Taylor and book and lyrics by David Wood, The Go-Between is directed by Roger Haines.
