The Truth transfers to the West End

FOLLOWING its critically acclaimed sold out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, The Truth is transferring to Wyndham’s Theatre for a strictly limited 10 week run – from June 22 to September 3, 2016.
The cast – Tanya Franks, Alexander Hanson, Frances O’Connor and Robert Portal – will reprise their roles in the West End.
Previously Posted: Christopher Hampton’s new version of Florian Zeller’s biting new play, The Truth, is to receive its UK premiere at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Directed by Lindsay Posner, it runs from March 10 to May 7, 2016.
The Truth centres on a man caught up in a four-way love affair, after discovering his mistress’ husband is also sleeping with his wife.
The cast includes Tanya Franks (EastEnders, Broadchurch, Pulling), Alexander Hanson (Stephen Ward, Aldwych Theatre, A Little Night Music, Menier Chocolate Factory), Frances O’Connor (Tom & Viv, Almeida Theatre, Mr Selfridge, The Missing, Madame Bovary, TV) and Robert Portal (Around the World in 80 Days, St. James Theatre, Communicating Doors, Menier Chocolate Factory).
The production will be designed by Lizzie Clachan, with lighting by Howard Harrison, sound by Gregory Clarke and music by Matthew Scott.
The Truth will be the third production by Zeller to play a major London theatre this year – The Mother is currently at the Tricycle Theatre, while The Father will shortly return to the West End for a second season.
