FOLLOWING critical acclaim in Edinburgh, Liam Borrett’s award-winning debut play, This Is Living, transfers to Trafalgar Studios, where it runs from May 19 (previews from May 17) to June 11, 2016.
You weren’t moving. Your hair was soaked. We saw you.
Alice and Michael met six years ago. Three years later their daughter Lily was born. Now, in a Yorkshire meadow, just past midnight, they’re having an argument. Because Alice is cold, she’s tired, and Michael won’t stop telling her that she died twelve hours ago.
A poignant exploration of what it means to say goodbye, This Is Living stars Michael Socha (E4’s The Aliens, This is England, Being Human) and Tamla Kari (BBC’s The Musketeers, The Inbetweeners Movie).
Borrett also directs the production, which has design by Sarah Beaton, lighting by Jackie Shemesh, and sound by Daffyd Gough.
This Is living premiered at the Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh in 2014 and won EntertainmentWise’s Best New Play award.
Also at Trafalgar Studios: the London premiere of Anthony Banks’ production of Raz (March 22 to April 16); Tom Crawshaw’ satirical comedy Boris: World King (April 19 to May 14); and Arthur Miller’s first play No Villain (June 14 to July 9, 2016).
