REHEARSAL images have been released for Welcome Home, Captain Fox!, which runs at the Donmar Warehouse from March 1 (previews from February 18) to April 16, 2016. To view them click here.

Previously Posted: Sian Thomas will be taking on the role of Mrs Fox in the Donmar’s production of Welcome Home, Captain Fox! replacing Francesca Annis who regrettably has had to withdraw from the production for personal reasons.

Welcome Home, Captain Fox!, Anthony Weigh’s new version of Jean Anouilh’s hit 1937 comedy Le Voyageur Sans Bagage, directed by Blanche McIntyre, runs at the Covent Garden venue from March 1 (previews from February 18) to April 16, 2016.

Thomas will be joining previously announced Michelle Asante, Barnaby Kay, Rory Keenan, Katherine Kingsley, Trevor Laird, Danny Webb, Fenella Woolgar and Daniel York.

Sian Thomas returns to the Donmar after appearing in Richard II in 2011. Her theatre work elsewhere includes The Trial (Young Vic), Eldorado (Arcola Theatre), Passion Play (Duke of York’s Theatre), Blue Heart Afternoon and The Glass Room (Hampstead Theatre), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (Northern Stage/Sheffield Crucible), Spring Awakening (Lyric Hammersmith/West End), Macbeth and Hamlet (RSC/Albery Theatre), The Price (Apollo/Tricycle Theatres), Feelgood (Hampstead/Garrick Theatres), King Lear (RSC) and Richard III (RSC/Savoy Theatre).

She has also appeared at the National Theatre in Fram, The Way of the World, Mountain Giants, Sleep With Me and House and Garden.

Thomas’ screen credits include Atlantis, New Tricks, Merlin, The Ruby in the Smoke, Thinspiration and Lewis (TV); Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Perfume, Vanity Fair and Prick Up Your Ears (film).

It’s the legendary hot summer of 1959 and while the Cold War rages and America tunes into I Love Lucy!, Captain Jack Fox, believed missing in action in the fields of France 15 years before, is about to be reunited with his family in The Hamptons.

But is this really Jack Fox? And if it isn’t, who is this man? And why are there 22 other families so intent on claiming him as their own?
