FOLLOWING the fantastic success of four all-night screenings
of The Lord of the Rings
trilogy last November, each of which was completely sold out,
the bfi London IMAX Cinema presents four more
special trilogy events next month.
The Matrix trilogy will be screened on Friday and Saturday, March
11 and 12 and The Lord of the Rings trilogy will be shown on Friday
and Saturday, March 18 and 19.
The Matrix will be
seen in its original 35mm theatrical version.
The Matrix Reloaded and
The Matrix Revolutions
will be seen in spectacular IMAX DMR; digitally re-mastered perfect
picture quality with 12,000 watts of digital sound on the biggest
screen in Britain.
The bfi London IMAX will be the first cinema in the world to
show the trilogy with two of the films in IMAX DMR.
All three Lord of the Rings films will be screened in their original
theatrical 35mm versions (NB. not IMAX or IMAX DMR); the image
will fill approximately one third of the giant screen.

the added thrill of the incredible immersive effect of IMAX DMR."
