Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum confirmed for 21 Jump Street

Get Him To The Greek

Story by Jack Foley

JONAH Hill and Channing Tatum have been confirmed to star in a remake of cult TV hit 21 Jump Street.

The two actors, who have long been linked to the project, will also serve as executive producers.

In original TV form, 21 Jump Street followed two youthful-looking undercover cops as they worked in high schools and colleges. Johnny Depp appeared in 80 episodes as Officer Tom Hanson.

Confirming the big screen reboot is now motoring forward, Doug Belgrad, president of distributor Columbia Pictures, told Variety: “Jonah helped create a smart and funny vehicle that is tailor-made for him and Channing. They are a perfect duo for this film and Phil and Chris have a terrific, accessible take on the material.”

Hill can currently be heard lending his voice to animated superhero movie Megamind alongside Will Ferrell. He has also starred in the hit comedies Cyrus and Get Him To The Greek this year.

Tatum, meanwhile, will next be seen in the Roman epic Eagle.
