NME ShockWaves Awards Shows 2007 - Amy Winehouse and Shins join bill
Story by Jack Foley
AMY Winehouse, American disco-punkers The Gossip and
Oregon four piece The Shins have all been added to the line-up for the 2007 ShockWaves NME Awards Shows in London.
They will join the likes of Regina Spektor, Maximo Park and Kings of Leon for the month-long series of shows.
Commenting on her performance, Amy Winehouse said: “I can’t wait to play the show! My manager just told me I was playing and I asked him who would be headlining and he said I would. I couldn’t believe it! I’m so excited!”
Winehouse plays the Astoria on February 19, while one of Zach Braff’s favourite bands, The Shins, headline the same venue on February 25.
