Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis for political comedy
Story by Jack Foley
WILL Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are to play presidential candidates in a new, as yet untitled political comedy directed by Jay Roach.
The project, which will be distributed by Warner Bros, is being co-produced by Ferrell and long-time collaborator Adam McKayas well as by Roach and Galifianakis.
As yet, there is no start date for production to begin.
But Ferrell is no stranger to political comedy, having portrayed former president George W. Bush and former VP Al Gore on Saturday Night Live as well as on Broadway in the former’s case (in You’re Welcome America).
Roach, meanwhile, directed the 2000 presidential election drama Recount for HBO.
