Dangerous Corner - Pacific Playhouse

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

SHOW Don’t Tell are presenting JB Priestley’s Dangerous Corner at the Pacific Playhouse – from May 13 to May 31, 2008.

Set in 1932, Priestley’s thriller of sex, secrets and lies, sees Freda and Robert Caplan play host to their ‘snug little group’ of friends and colleagues at their country home. However, before long a cigarette box and a chance remark spark off a relentless series of revelations, prompting the question, is it really best to let sleeping dogs lie?

Daniel Brennan directs a cast that includes Wendy Albiston, Martin Durrant, Lucy Grainger, Ben de Halpert, Brigid Lohrey, Lainey Shaw and Oliver Wallace.

Show Don’t Tell, the only theatre company in Britain that uses the teachings of American drama practitioner Viola Spolin, was also responsible for Loveplay, Mad Margaret’s Revenge, Retired Hurt, The Games Room and Noel Coward’s comedy Relative Values.

Tickets: £11, £8 concessions.

Time: Tuesday to Saturday at 7:30pm.
