Although Brook has previously appeared on stage at Riverside Studios – as exotic dancer Anya in Eye Contact – she will be making her West End debut in Fat Pig. She has also appeared on screen in School for Seduction, Sorted and the 2003 remake of The Italian Job (film); and Strictly Come Dancing (TV).

Katie Kerr will also join the cast of Fat Pig on October 13, taking over the role of Helen from Ella Smith.

Previously Posted: Neil LaBute’s new comedy Fat Pig, which is currently playing at Trafalgar Studios, will transfer to the Comedy Theatre where it opens on September 11, 2008.

And although Ella Smith and Joanna Page will reprise their roles, Robert Webb and Kris Marshall will be replaced by Nicholas Burns and Kevin Bishop as Tom and Carter.

Fat Pig is set in a nameless US city where Tom meets Helen (Ella Smith). Although not exactly love at first sight, there is an instant connection. Helen is a bright, funny, sexy young woman but she just happens to be plus-sized and before long insults start to fly from Tom’s shallow yet shockingly funny office buddies, Carter and Jeannie (Joanna Page).

Burns’ previous credits include The Madness of George Dubya, The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Arcadia (theatre), and Benidorm, Absolute Power and Nathan Barley (screen).

Although Bishop is best known for his Channel 4 sketch show The Kevin Bishop Show, he has previously appeared on the West End stage in Pete & Dud: Come Again (as Dudley Moore).

LaBute’s other work includes Bash (Trafalgar Studio 2), Helter Skelter/Land Of The Dead (Bush Theatre), Some Girl(s) (Gielgud Theatre), The Shape Of Things (Ambassadors Theatre), This Is How It Goes (Donmar Warehouse), The Mercy Seat (Almeida Theatre) and In a Dark Dark House which receives its European premiere at the Almeida this November.

LeBute also directs Fat Pig which continues at Trafalgar Studio 1 until September 6, 2008.

The Comedy Theatre has been dark since the premature closure of Dickens Unplugged on June 29.
