Saving Jason - Park Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

SAVING Jason, created by Peter Quilter, the two-time Olivier Award nominated writer of the West End/Broadway hits Glorious! and End of the Rainbow, runs at the Park Theatre (Park90) from November 7 (previews from November 2) to December 3, 2016.

Saving Jason is set in a 1996 suburban household, where Trevor and Linda continue to struggle with their rebellious teenage son, Jason. In a moment of madness, they hatch a plan to change his lifestyle of midnight raves, suspicious friends and Ecstasy tablets.

By staging a fake funeral for Jason in the family living room, Trevor and Linda hope their bleak vision of their son’s future will change his hedonistic ways. As the wider family joins in the charade, the evening descends into a whirlwind of drink, pills and muffins in a bid to save Jason’s soul.
