Spamalot - Bonnie Langford returns as The Lady of the Lake

Bonnie Langford in Spamalot

Theatre news

FOLLOWING her acclaimed success in 2012 at the Harold Pinter Theatre, Bonnie Langford is returning as Spamalot’s The Lady of the Lake from May 6, 2013. The production, now at the Playhouse Theatre, is currently booking until November 2, 2013.

Having made her first West End appearance at the age of seven, and going on to wow audiences around the globe with her enthusiasm, powerful voice and unequivocal style, Bonnie Langford is no stranger to performing.

Her career began when, aged just six, she won the talent programme Opportunity Knocks. As a child she appeared in the television series Just William, the 1974 Broadway Revival of Gypsy (alongside Angela Langsbury) and the movie Bugsy Malone.

More recently, her credits include Cats, Peter Pan – The Musical, Chicago (as Roxie Hart), Guys & Dolls and her own touring show, Bonnie Langford Now: And Her Musicians. In 2006, she came third in Torvill and Dean’s Dancing on Ice and the following year went on tour with them. She is currently starring as Roz in Dolly Parton’s stage version of 9 to 5, performing until April 2013.

Olivier Award nominee Steven Pacey has now returned to the role of King Arthur for an initial four week run during April 2013.

“Lovingly ripped-off” from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail.

The show features a chorus line of dancing divas (and serfs), flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and a legless knight.
