Saturday Shed

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

CHICKENSHED Kensington & Chelsea Spring Gala will take place at The Chelsea Academy, Lots Road, SW10, on Thursday, May 10, 2012.

The evening will start at 6.30pm with a Champagne reception followed by a cabaret which will include the first-ever public performance by members of the Kensington and Chelsea Children’s and Youth Theatre Groups.

The cabaret will be followed by an exquisite Spanish-influenced dinner created by event caterers, Urban Caprice.

The evening will conclude with a fundraising auction conducted by Ed Rising. The ‘money can’t buy’ lots will include memorabilia from celebrity supporters, tickets and backstage tours to West End Theatre productions and opportunities to go behind the scenes at various television and radio programmes.

Chickenshed is a lifeline to many young people who have been excluded from mainstream school and activities. It allows children of every age, background, race and ability to share a stage together and create beautiful and inspirational theatre.

All funds raised during Chickenshed Kensington and Chelsea Summer Show and Dinner will go some way towards ensuring that this initiative will thrive and grow and offer a lasting project to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
