The Book of Mormon - Prince Harry's presence sends Twitter ablaze

Preview by Jack Foley

THE West End run of The Book of Mormon can now lay claim to having royal approval.

Prince Harry sent Twitter ablaze on Tuesday night (October 1, 2013) when he visited the production on an apparent second date with his girlfriend Cressida Bonas.

Needless to say, the royal visit has been roundly welcomed by the show itself, while its Twitter page is full of obscene (and funny) Tweets from those who watched the show in royal company.

One Tweet read: “Soooo we had #PrinceHarry in the Hiz-Zouse TONIGHT! The Prince of Wales…AT THE BLOODY PRINCE OF WALES. Curtseys:http://t.co/PDFSQUp1Sd”

And another, a re-Tweet, proudly declared: “RT @OliviaPhillip: I’m officially one of very few people to have sung ‘Fuck you God in the ass, mouth and cunt’ to Prince Harry. Proud mome…”

A huge hit on Broadway, The Book of Mormon follows two Mormons, Elder Price and Elder Cunningham, who are sent to Africa to convert the natives.

Created by South Park‘s Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q‘s Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

You can currently book tickets to see the hilarious Book of Mormon parody musical until February 8, 2014.
