The line up includes the multi-award-winning musician, actor and comedian Tim Minchin, the acclaimed magician Dynamo, comedian Mark Watson and a performance by the Tredegar Town Band, one of the world’s finest brass bands, who recently performed parts of the musical score in the Warchus-directed feature film Pride.

The Old Vic Variety Nights, which take place on Sundays, are a series of spectacular evenings featuring collectable performances from celebrated comedians, musicians, magicians and other variety acts from around the world.

The Variety Nights are a contemporary take on a time when The Old Vic was the Royal Coburg Theatre presenting music, magic, ‘whims and oddities’.

Talking about the first Variety Night, Artistic Director Matthew Warchus said:

“Three of my favourite things are music, magic and comedy, hence my eagerness to introduce a series of Old Vic Variety Nights. We’re looking forward to seeing the Old Vic lit up on a Sunday night welcoming all kinds of audiences, both old friends and newcomers, to see famous faces mixed with new talent in evenings of laughter, fun and really great entertainment.”
