When No One Is Watching - Greenwich Playhouse

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

AGAPE Theatre Company is presenting When No One Is Watching, written and directed by Mark Grey, at Greenwich Playhouse – from October 12 to October 31, 2010.

When No One Is Watching follows the success of the film Holy Hush, which won the Best Drama Award in 2009 at SonScreen International Film Festival, and marks Agape Theatre Company’s long anticipated return to their first love, the stage.

In a gripping and intriguing tale of envy, greed, and deceit, seven highly successful charity workers, each awarded for their efforts in war-torn, disaster, or famine areas around the world, are brought together for the reading of their late benefactor’s will.

Each has been bequeathed an inheritance that they will only receive if, in their private lives (when no one is watching), they have displayed the same humanity and selflessness as in the public arena. Upon examination each of the seven deadly sins emerges from each character, threatening to jeopardise the inheritance of them all.

When No One Is Watching premieres at Watford Palace Theatre as part of the Watford Live Festival.
