A blockbuster movie with a tragic human spin, The Hulk has been
updated, projecting it into the dangers and aspirations of contemporary
times, whilst retaining all the spirit of the Stan Lee and Jack
Kirby's classic creation.
And given that this is an Ang Lee film, audiences have every
reason to anticipate a blockbuster capable of challening the intellect,
as well as exciting visually - this is the guy who, after all,
has taken on nearly every kind of genre and succeeded (see Crouching
Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Ride With The Devil, The Ice Storm and
Sense and Sensibility).
The film is due to open in the US this weekend (June 20), when
we will bring you the US reaction, and will follow in the UK,
on July 18 - when, of course, we will deliver our verdict.
