Bowling For Soup announce October tour (2011)
Story by Jack Foley
FOLLOWING their hugely popular main stage performance at Download Festival, Bowling For Soup have announced they will return to the UK in October for a major headline tour.
The dates follow the July 18 release of Turbulence, the second single from the Texan rockers’ critically acclaimed new album Fishin For Woos
Fans will have the option to purchase VIP tickets, which will give them access to an exclusive live acoustic performance by Jaret and Erik, a meet and greet event and goodie bag.
The band’s acoustic set at Download provided the perfect warm-up show for the following day’s show-stealing main-stage set, which earned rave reviews and featured a special on-stage introduction from Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, kitted out as a member of the metal band GWAR.
The band performed their set flanked by two enormous inflatable sheep, one of which memorably didn’t survive the whole set in a Youtube-worthy incident involving an inflatable penis thrown on stage by one of the crowd.
